Our Philosophy

At Chateau d'Aqueria , a deep understanding of the land is linked to a profound attachment and faith in the nurturing capacity of Mother Nature.

A certain wisdom, using the natural forces, as well as environmentally friendly farming practices when necessary, such is our state of mind.

Mothe Nature gives birth to and nourishes the grapes, it is her work of art. In exchange, it is our duty to labour and fertilize the earth as naturally as possible.

At Chateau d'Aqueria, natural farming methods are not a recent resolution nor just to be fashionable, it is our true identity.

Taking Action

A Weather Station:
A wise decision cannot be made without a maximum of information. A weather station implanted in the heart of the vineyard allows us to appreciate with precision climatic events, their importance and their intensity. We can therefore give the most appropriate care to the vines when deemed necessary.

Grass in the Vines:
Grass in the vines is punctually used to allow us to moderate the fast growth of young arduous vine plants.

Organic Fertilizer:
The vines need a well-balanced diet. This is the role played by natural organic matter that we regularly spread on our soils, but also the decomposition of leaves. All this favours the development of micro-organisms and intensifies their action. The nutritious elements naturally found in the soil are thus available to nourish the roots.
